
Anthony David Gonzalez, born February 27, 1976, is an ex-American football tightener who played for the National Football League (NFL) for 17 years. Regarded as one of the most outstanding tight end players of all time He is the all-time NFL leader in receptions and receiving yards by a tight end, and is ranked third in overall receptions. Gonzalez was chosen in the 1st round by the Kansas City Chiefs. He was part of their first 12-season playing for the team. Also, he played with the Atlanta Falcons for five of his last seasons. Since retiring in 2013, Gonzalez has been an NFL analyst for NFL on Prime Video and was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez completed his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections, the highest number for a tight end and second in the history of the league, in addition to receiving six All-Pros on the first team. Gonzalez was well-known for his strength and his ability to not throw a ball. He appeared in 272 games during the regular season and he only made two fumbles with 1,327 touches. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019.
