AJ Michalka is an American performer, singer, songwriter, musician, and former model, best known as one two members of the duo "Aly and AJ. They perform alongside her sister Aly Michalka. The two were born in Torrance, California, AJ was inspired by her mom, Carrie, who herself was an accomplished musician. AJ spent most of her childhood years living in Torrance, Seattle, and Milwaukee. She began playing guitar as well as piano as young children. They were already well versed in the field by the time they reached the age of adolescence. AJ was five years old when she began to act in church plays. AJ participated in the musicals at her school. AJ's acting career began in 2002 when she was just 11 years old. old and played a minor role in the television series Passions. Her career progressed to take on key roles in various other shows like The Guardian', â , Oliver Beeneâ , and "All My Friends Are getting to Get Married.
